Is Hexellent free?
Yes. It opens free on Poki. Poki may show adverts around the game.
How do you move the stacks?
Press and hold a stack, move it over a cell and release to drop it. It works the same with a mouse or a finger.
Who made Hexellent?
Poki credits Seal Unicorn Games as the developer.
What you do
Stacks of coloured hexagon blocks arrive, and a 3D grid of hex cells waits for them. Press and hold a stack to pick it up, move it over a cell, and release to drop it there. The same gesture works with a mouse or a finger.
When a stack lands next to blocks of the same colour, they slide together and merge. Once enough of one colour gathers, it vanishes and frees up room on the grid.
The better moves set off combos: one drop that makes several stacks clear at once. Later levels get harder, and Poki’s description mentions power-ups that help when the grid gets tight.

Moves that help
Look at the top colour of each stack before you drop it: that is the colour that will merge.
Keep one corner of the grid for a single colour, so merges have somewhere to build up.
Do not fill the last free cells in a hurry; a full grid leaves no room to fix a bad drop.
Save power-ups for the harder levels, where the grid runs out of space fastest.
Fits you if
Players who like quiet puzzles and planning a move or two ahead, with a mouse or a touch screen.
The downsides
– Later levels get harder, and a crowded grid can undo a good start.
– The core move stays the same from level to level; the variety is in the puzzles, not the controls.
– Poki may show adverts around the game.
